- They compared one application that has been on the Amiga for years
- (LightWave) and was just ported to the PC. If it did run faster
- then it just wasn't well optimized for the Pentium. Motorola's
- benchmarks on the unreleased 68060-66 showed that it was slower than
- both the Pentium-66 and PPC 601-66 in integer calculations and faster
- than a Pentium-66 but slower than a PPC 601-66 in floating point. Also
- according to Daystar, a Mac accelerator and clone maker, the 68060-50
- supplied only about a 20% speed difference over a 68040-40.
